RFK jr takes on frackers..
#1
One of the most shocking things exposed by crusading environmental litigator Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. in an epic blog piece published on Huffington Post today, is that the fracking industry's "recycled" waste water may contain radioactive materials which get discharged into our nation's rivers. Kennedy lists his reasons for early optimism on natural gas, but now decries a lack of transparency, responsibility, and safeguards to protect communities from irresponsible practices. As a member of NY Gov. Cuomo's Fracturing Advisory Panel, Kennedy's job is to "safeguard New Yorkers from the kind of calamities caused ... across our border with Pennsylvania." He is as upset with the behavior of state and federal government regulators as he is with "fast talking landsmen, smarmy CEOs" and the "right wing industry toadies from cable TV and talk radio." Among the disclosures he credits to hard hitting journalism by the New York Times are

We don't know what fracturing intact layers of underground bedrock and removing its gas content will do to earth or its environmental equilibrium that could be based on a fragile balance including intact bedrock with a gas content. The fossil fuel-addicted bastards doing that fracking don't care. They're like frenzied heroin addicts simply seeking the next fix. They are in power in America and only taking 'no' as an answer. Oil too. This fracking is satanic and leaves a toxic mix underground.
