Actually, the German Nazi's had a great reverence for the environment. But I bet the US one doesn't and I think the German one only applied to Germany as they seemed quite happy to lay waste to other nation's environments.

Yup - the Nazi reverence was tied in to Aryan master race nonsense. All those blond haired blue eyed supermodels mystically melding with gushing rivers, towering trees and bumper harvests.
