LeMay I believe was involved, and there seems to be evidence he may well have even attended and obstructed the autopsy. I just finished reading the book 'Area 51-An Uncensored History of America's Top Secret Military Base' by Jacobsen [OK...don't run out to buy it unless you have special interest in Area 51], and in it there are some interesting factors and timings I was not aware of before. In 1963 before the assassination, LeMay's pet project was the B-70 multi-mach bomber. JFK all but canceled the program, putting in a budget message, that he considered it "unnecessary and economically unjustifiable"....Congress then cut the order from 85 to 4 B-70's. LeMay was furious and I believe vowed revenge for his pet project being axed almost out of existence. He hated JFK for many other reasons we have discussed before.
Jacobson is not one of 'us' - she never would have gotten the access to people and information she did were she. She speaks disparagingly of 'conspiracy theorists', yet the whole book is about conspiracies - so the joke is on her. She also justifies in the book and in her mind the need for all the nasty weapons systems developed and/or tested at Area 51 and adjacent areas numbered from one to 52, with some bearing no number at all.
About the most interesting things in the book [unrelated to JFK assassination - of which there are some other than I mentioned above] are:
- how much earlier than is generally known Mach 3.3 spyplanes were developed [were being tested when JFK was alive].
- just how much radiation was/is put on the ground and in the air at the Nuclear Test Facility - MUCH more than you think and have been told!
- that JFK toured an area just adjacent to Area 51 to watch the testing of a nuclear [!] powered rocket for use to Mars or for military use.
- Jacobson thinks the Roswell Incident was done by the Soviets. I don't, but some of her information on the event is interesting. Rather uncontested is that Area 51 for a time had some of the 'debris' from the Roswell Incident housed there.
- The secret significance of the Roswell Air Base apart from the Roswell Incident. [Perhaps of interest in relationship to the story of the flight exfiltrating operatives from Dallas to Roswell!]
- Just how part of the secret military-intellignce establishment functions, keeps its secrets, and often denies even the President and Congress information or permission to visit or even know what is going on.
- Just more details on how we are constantly misled and lied to; propagandized in the hall of mirrors of the military-intelligence apparatus.
- Some interesting details [available elsewhere too] about how interested the military and CIA were in UFO's and how many of them they knew exactly what they were; while feigning disinterest and denigration. Also, how much of all that is still unclassified!
- Bissell's central roll in Area 51
- Howard Hughes had access...how come I can't?
- How when some are 'dismissed' from their positions in the CIA or other institutions, they really don't 'stand down', but are put to work in such secret ops as go on in Area 51 et al.
- why secret agencies and entities regularly change their names and how that makes following a trail a bit harder.
- just how dirty and secretive the military-intelligence nexus is and how they work together yet have their internal rivalries. However, they all work against the People and against any notions of Peace or letting others live their lives as they want to and without being spied upon. Now, apparently, Area 51 and adjacent post 911 are mostly focused on doing to USA what we've been doing to others all along.
- what is generically called 'Area 51' is more properly a larger area of interconnected and adjacent secret test areas in or adjacent to the Nevada Nuclear Testing facility - with one off-site location at Tonapah, NV - they are all one entity in reality, but just as information is compartmentalized, so are areas physically.
- when you hear about killer and spy drones being controlled from 'Las Vegas', it really is from an area just adjacent to Area 51.
- How several of the 'usual suspects' in the JFK assassination had connections to Area 51 and that part of the Deep Political Establishment that spawned and runs it.
