Increasingly, it becomes apparent that several sources can be eliminated as unworthy of our time and consideration. I proposed at the Deep Politics Forum -- a concept which was met with vapid disinterest -- that a "public" (or subscriber-only) data base be constructed (simple technology, free, easy to maintain and update) on all known media outlets and sources with a clarification and coding system that allowed for notation as to political leanings, ownership/financial data, known and verifiable status or act of disinformation, etc. This can extend to major media/video/news outlets, newspapers, and more (much of which is known and commonly accepted, but still requires verification for the nay-sayers) but should also and importantly include all major news aggregator blogs, opinion blogs, and other major Internet-based major commentators. The simplest way to perceive this visually is to imagine yourself in a cube-shaped white room [insert rock video link here] which has a bold demarcation line of "zero" value exactly halfway up the wall; floating inside this room or hanging by invisible strong is a 3x5 card carrying two scores for power and salience on a scale of -2 to +2, and the notation as to who it is. When the "work" is done in creating the cards, the scores and the notations, you can then "walk" around inside that room and see, from the perspective of virtually any issue, where and how any entity "speaks", and draw clear conclusions as to why they speak the way they do. Dangerous stuff, this, in this day and age; here be dragons.
