When I went to You-Tube today I got a pop-up asking me to drop my moniker and use my real name. I was going to type "Fuck You" in the box they wanted me to type my name into but thought the better of it seeing how I didn't want to get banned. However, this Reich's programm of progressively coopting Google and You-Tube is part of a Homeland program designed to take over the internet and destroy privacy and anonymity on the internet. The fact You-Tube and Google cooperate with these fascist programs is pathetic and shows a need for the people to rise up and divest those cowardly, democracy-eroding entities. Let them be replaced with search engines and video sites that fear and respect democracy.

You are not alone in being forced to reveal your real name on youtube. But it seems, you can revert.
I have not tested this, since I am not on youtube.
Quote:OK, but you can revert! Go to your YouTube Settings (which you would see on the left of the double drop down in place of the regular single drop down) and there, in Overview use the small link next to your username to "revert". You may need to readjust your channel's title in Channel Settings in My Channel (I found that mine reverted to being whatever my URL was, ie TheLadyFromUncle and not The Lady from Uncle with spaces).
Youtube/google are trying since July to get more people to use their real name, allegedly to improve the quality of comments and uploads.
The most relevant literature regarding what happened since September 11, 2001 is George Orwell's "1984".

How would they even know it was your 'real' name? Obviously is your moniker was 4h6h4klh5 they would twig to it but if it was Lee Lin Park or Jose Ramirez or Winston Smith how would they know?
