In the last two days both Glen Greenwald and Aaron Mate have made special asides on their programs emphasizing that JFK was no different than the rest of the Cold War reactionaries of his time and there was no special reason for his Assassination...Greenwald said JFK was behind the CIA coups in Cuba, Brazil, and Viet Nam and was not any different than the right-wingers behind the worst CIA activities during his administration...Mate said he saw no special reason behind Kennedy's assassination and the only outstanding thing about Kennedy was his sexual appetite...Both Mate and Greenwald cited Chomsky as their source with Mate adding Sy Hersch...
It is incredible that this ethnic source would deny Kennedy his martyrdom for the same progressive politics they espouse...They need to read DiEugenio and Douglass...
