This kind of behavior is endemic to all human beings, not just conservatives. Jesus said, circa 2000 years ago,
"Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye." Matthew 7.5
Such hypocrisy arrives with being judgmental of others. I like what Tracy said, about asking questions.
