I taught for a bit over 30 years.
Today was actually the first day of my formal retirement, meaning if I was not retired, I would have been at work.
But I wasn't. And I am still getting paid.
There were only three things good about being a teacher: you get a lot of holidays off plus the summer, its a good health plan, and its a good pension plan.
If I had to do it all over again, I would have gotten a combination MBA/law degree.
With that I would have retired about 10-15 years ago.
