Extraordinary isn't it? What mining companies have gotten away with over centuries is criminal. Pump and dump usually leaving a toxic trail in their wake. And with resources getting harder to access the techniques to get them are getting more extreme too. Eg fracking. And they just pack up and go away when it is all gone or no longer worth their while.
