Mark A. O'Blazney Wrote:Compare Bannon to Albert Pike, and you see a new star rising, with mercury in retrograde……. this is serious stuff. The two are different, though.
Can you tell? Terrapin Station.
A new star "falling" more likely, I would say.
Interesting what you say about Mercury in retrograde, Mark. I assume you're very familiar with the "dual" qualities associated to Mercury, hence your retrograde comment?
I'm not really familiar with the Grateful Dead, but from what I've just read their song Terrapin Station plays on the "dichotomy of light and darkness [that] are never far away in Hunter's lyrics and here we have spaces filling with darkness, things that were obvious being hidden, leaving us nothing to believe in, except the direction in which we are headed, whatever that may be." (Source). Is that your takeaway too?
The shadow is a moral problem that challenges the whole ego-personality, for no one can become conscious of the shadow without considerable moral effort. To become conscious of it involves recognizing the dark aspects of the personality as present and real. This act is the essential condition for any kind of self-knowledge.
