Stephen Bannon Hails the Power of Darkness
#9
Peter Lemkin Wrote:Yeah, he is as dark as they come.....in the Darth Vader sense, and the 'shadow' in the Jungian sense. The USA is about to enter a new phase and NOT one I look forward to. The whole World will suffer greatly, but I think this is mainly a time to put 'problematic' U.S. citizens on notice or in prison or in an early grave......and for the Oligarchy/Secret Government to REALLY take over all the power and money.

Those who do not learn the lessons of history....

Yep, the Jungian shadow sense was my first take too, although on reflection I was less certain. Advocating darkness as strongly as he did is suggestive of someone more conscious of, and wedded to, their own dark Self than the usual left-hand path dabbler. It's too early (for me anyway) to reach a proper sense of what he might actually be --- in the occult sense. Assuming his comments were crafted from a genuine occult perspective and not simply a PR one?

Time will tell, I expect.
The shadow is a moral problem that challenges the whole ego-personality, for no one can become conscious of the shadow without considerable moral effort. To become conscious of it involves recognizing the dark aspects of the personality as present and real. This act is the essential condition for any kind of self-knowledge.
