Pence is a fully paid up card carrying Christian fascist on a mission from his own self created invisible vengeful sky pilot. He is so far away from being an adult it is terrifying and in a whole other league from the tangerine cockwomble flim flam man on the make.
I think Cliff is saying that Pence is our "normal" level of Republican crazy that we are quite experienced with in America going back to the late 1970s. As opposed to Trump, who really stopped developing emotionally at the age of 13 or 14.

I'm not sure what part of "his politics aside" didn't get through...There is not an adult on the planet who wouldn't have shaken Angela Merkel's hand at a photo op, but the 70 year old child Fake President refused the gesture after Merkel pooh-poohed his 300 billion pound "invoice for NATO".
Fully formed adults -- regardless of politics and religious postures -- don't behave like Donald Trump.
