Stephen Hawking Dies at 76 - A Brilliant Star In The Universe Has Gone Out
#4
Magda Hassan Wrote:Despite his brilliant career I loved his humor and occasional acting roles, his support for the NHS in the UK, his support for Palestine and BDS against Israel. Disability advocates have lost a great man. We all have. The world is a lesser place with out him in it. I hope he inspires many activists in many areas.

Yes, he was very progressive politically [but this was mostly not reported by the MSM]. He outlived his doctor's predictions by 48 years! and filled his life with great work and play. He should, IMO, have won the Nobel Prize in Physics for his 'Hawking Radiation' theory, now taken as gospel. He surely showed the world that no matter how handicapped the body, the mind can be in the stars and far ahead of able-bodied people. If you have not seen the film about his life, I do suggest it.
"Let me issue and control a nation's money and I care not who writes the laws. - Mayer Rothschild
"Civil disobedience is not our problem. Our problem is civil obedience! People are obedient in the face of poverty, starvation, stupidity, war, and cruelty. Our problem is that grand thieves are running the country. That's our problem!" - Howard Zinn
"If there is no struggle there is no progress. Power concedes nothing without a demand. It never did and never will" - Frederick Douglass
