I am going to make comment and then I am going to vacate the thread forever and stick to my own 'stuff'.
I would hope, trust and implore that the founders of this wonderful forum, resource, tool, community, potentiality not be split by the actions, intrusions and infiltrations of anyone (whether their POV is valid or not). I don't know John B. I have not read his work; it does not inform me or resonate with me. OTOH, many of DPF's founders have communicated with me. We have made contact. Mr. Drago, in particular, has moved me, taught me, enrolled me; I suspect his ire is up because of the challenges to one who taught and moved him. That is simple, honest, sincere, even noble, because -- in the end -- we learn best from those with whom we have connected on a personal level.
I have seen this same thing occur in other forums where newcomers have used hammers and chisels of various design to insert divisiveness, chaos, and more. Civility of conduct is often used as one of the hammers. And while I am all in favor of civil conduct and conversation, sometimes you have to get to the point, as Charles has taught me, that we do no service to anyone -- the other, ourselves, or the silent reader -- if we fail to speak our truth.
We must remain focused on "the prize".
