I graduated from High School in June 1966.I married in April 1967,and was drafted into the Army in Feb.1968.This was before they used the lottery system.I had three choices:
>Run to Canada
>Go to jail
>Try to get through my 2 year obligation.
What's a young man supposed to do? :argh:
Well, there was a 4th option: CO status.
And a "two year obligation" usually meant Nam didn't it?
I am surprised they have not re-instituted the draft.
