The selection of the man currently in the Oval Office by the oligarchic plutocracy (or whatever we're calling them these days) was predestined to send Americans flying into the arms of yet another sweet-talking despot; it won't be Palin, or Glenn Beck, or anyone even close to them; it won't be any of the old front-runners or possibles, though Romney and perhaps another may provide for an interesting race. Jeb has been pre-anointed by some prognosticators, and longshots are being named (like the new Senator from Massachusetts). Obama came from out of nowhere (except possibly the madrassas of the CIA, THE operative arm of the Wall Street-based cabal that has brought us to this point thus far). Look at the bright side; without it, I would not have found such wonderful people as those here at Deep Politics Forum. But I digress... Read the comments under the video. Actually, the video is a masterful piece of work because it captures the mood of the country in terms of what the governance system has delivered. And most of the people are bleating right on cue.... And it looks like they are going to pick the right chute.
I do not think Obama is the answer, though there is some indication and some punditry that suggests he is awakening himself -- as JFK did -- but he will not be allowed to say much, will he?
I do not think the answer for us as citizens here in the States is to vote with the ballot (nor the bullet, though there are surely many suggesting, wanting, opting or preparing...), but to vote with action. I think it lies in our very own deeply localized thinking and preparation to create resilient mini-economies, communities that can strengthen in times of economic devastation, war, post-peak everything. It will require of us a sturdiness of character, leadership skills, supreme interpersonal communications skills, stamina, resolve, wits, humor and spiritual strength.
