I think for Egypt this is only a small part of it. Mubarak and his cronies cosiness with Israel would have alot to do with it aswell. Assad of Syria done an interview with a French newspaper a few days ago and he pointed out that - Syrians economically are struggling, are poor, and are in need of just as much if not more than the Egyptians yet there aren't people on the streets in his country.
