Here is a seldom seen article from fair play by Ralph Schuster.'' the Umbrellaman ''......one GEM of new info stands out, and should be pointed out..as....it makes it clear towards the bottom of the article that it was not witt who made the umbrella information re Chamberlain available, that information was a supposed guess on the part of the HSCA , even though i realise that there are quoted statements supposedly by witt, in regards to such......but they the HSCA apparently offered that information, so all the hullaballo about he Witt pumping the umbrella up and down to show jfk his distain for what OLE JOE DID linking him to Chamberlain what witt had said about the umbrella is hog wash......so if this info is true, if that was not witts reason, then what reason did he have for pumpingan umbrella up and down other than his one remark. that someone told him it would rile kennedy...hogwash.......??? b
QUOTE ''on Assassinations in Washington. Witt told the Commission that he had the umbrella to heckle Kennedy. He claimed that someone told him that an open umbrella would rile Kennedy. But he did not offer any further explanation of how it would heckle JFK. Some Committee members theorized that the umbrella somehow referred to Kennedy's father who was serving as U.S. ambassador to Britain prior to World War II. The umbrella may have symbolized the policies of Britain's Prime Minister Chamberlain who always carried an umbrella. (3)''
