Good stuff. There is a definite need for a workable non-corporate open source social media platform where the users are in control of their information and what and who they share it with. People want to connect and communicate. Itis only human. Plus there are all sort of tangible benefits from a more connected world, artistically, socially, educationally, etc. The data and servers need to be kept in a neutral place where it is out of reach of the US government snoopers and legal system.
