It was not for Cuba, although the middle and lower levels of the conspirators believed it was. But Cuba was used to force the LN cover up. After the assassination Cuba was not invaded and LBJ changed JFK's Vietnam policy. But it was not just for huge profits from perpetual wars, surely the defense contractors had a lot profit from Vietnam war. It was also the rebuilding of Vietnam, opening of banks to finance the rebuilding, creation of cheap labor.
