Keith, I agree it seems like a awful lot of smoke for a shot - more so for one supposed to be from a hidden sniper. While some insiders have even talked about firing (liquid N2 or dry-ice)-frozen rounds that melt in the body [to make detection on autopsy nearly impossible], one would think that the care taken with the weapon and the rounds used would have been greater than, say, a M-C with WWII-age rounds. It might well have been a diversion - which would not rule out a shot and sniper elsewhere on the N. Knoll. Ask any magician. ::bowtie::
