Most researchers believe that Oswald was impersonated by someone in Mexico City (the phone call in broken Russian is definitely an impersonation). Even Hoover told LBJ that someone was impersonating LHO at the embassy. I suspect the typed letter to the Russian embassy was also done by someone else. This was all part of the effort to implicate the KGB and Castro in the upcoming assassination.

Has it been proven that the stocky man photographed at the Cuban and Soviet Embassies in Mexico city was in fact a man named Ralph Geb, who, just by co-incidence, was best friends with Mac Wallace?

So many "co-incidences" in this case.

That story is new to me, Dawn.

It comes from a self -published book called The Men on the Sixth Floor (Glen Sample and Mark Collom). There is a pic of the fake Oswald and also one of Geb.
Much of the book has been discredited, like the Loy Factor story, still the photos are pretty convincing.
