Read 'American Desperado' by Evan Wright. He shows that Ricky Prado of the San Pedro cocaine organization in Miami was involved in many murders as enforcer for San Pedro. According to Medellin Cartel American manager Jon Roberts, Prado was the hit man in the assassination of Myer Lansky's step-son Richard Schwartz after Schwartz gunned down mob son Craig Teriaca in the organized crime hang-out the Forge restaurant in Miami in 1977.
The Cuban San Pedro sold to Aspen coke boss Steve Grabow who was busted by the Aspen police for distribution in 1983. Grabow was blown-up and murdered with a car bomb in Aspen in 1985 after the Miami suppliers were worried he would turn states evidence. It was the first car bombing murder in Colorado history. Grabow was worried and used to pay someone 5 bucks to start his engine. The day he died he was killed by a very sophisticated car bomb that had a fuse that only lit after the drive shaft rotated making sure the car was in motion, defeating any proxy engine stars. Examination of the bomb by FBI showed it was similar to a bomb used against Forge Restaurant's owner Alvin Malnik. San Pedro was linked to made mafia man Bobby Erra who was close to mob son Craig Teriaca. Poor Craig was the only Teriaca son who was straight and stayed out of trouble. His brother Gary Teriaca wasn't however and was partnered in the coke business with Erra. Erra was a part of San Pedro's Miami cocaine distribution network. The linking of the bomb between Malnik and Grabow was no accident.
As it turns out many of the Cuban Bay Of Pigs survivors learned underground networking from the invasion that then led to smuggling in Florida. This network allowed CIA to recruit Ricky Prado from San Pedro's gang because he had the murder history and covert knowledge they desired. Prado had been working with CIA before the Grabow bombing. It would make sense that Prado used his CIA knowledge with the sophisticated bomb used against Grabow. Gary Teriaca's connection to Grabow weakened him after Grabow's bust. Ricky Prado was witnessed entering the blood splattered apartment the night Teriaca went missing and was never seen again. Prado, with his CIA connections, managed to get members of the Miami Police Department crime scene investigation unit to paint over Teriaca's blood splattered apartment.
This group was directly related to Barry Seal and were the people who organized the Colombian hit squad that assassinated Seal. Seal interacted with CIA in his setting-up of Medellin cartel boss Pablo Escobar in Nicaragua and subsequent flying of a plane load of cartel cocaine back to Homestead Air Force Base in Florida. Prado was the go between between CIA and this Miami cocaine underground. A judge ordered Seal to attend a very exposed Salvation Army half-way house where the Colombian death squad executed him. CIA was happy to have a witness to their providing government C-123 aircraft for smuggling, in return for illegal gun-running to the CONTRA's, eliminated.
Ricky Prado moved up in CIA becoming the equivalent of a 2 star general. He was then recruited by Bush to head his illegal CIA anti-terror death squads becoming chief of the group. Detectives in the Miami police department are still hoping to convict Ricky Prado for the mafia execution of Myer Lansky's step-son Richard Schwartz whom Prado shot-gunned in the parking lot behind his Miami Beach restaurant in revenge for Schwartz's murder of Craig Teriaca.
Funny, Wikipedia and Google Images have no records of any of these main cartel/CIA players, except for Seal.
