Ok, I'll throw a personal favorite out there: the paper bag. As Harold Weisberg described so well, Oswald never had the time or opportunity to construct the paper bag while Troy West manned the wrapping station (even eating his lunch there). The tape came out of the dispenser wet, had to be used there and would have retained lots of prints. It would have been quite a feat to construct this bag without anyone seeing it, and then taking it home the night of 11/21 without Frazier seeing it.
This is the kind of ridiculous little stuff that Columbo would have noticed ("Oh, just one more thing") and destroyed the whole attempted framing of Oswald. :
