On the nature of the Shadow
#3
Yup, as projections go we had the nassy ol' Soviet "commies" so we could justify spending trillions on arms for the manufactured cold war, then we had the inscrutable Yellow "commies" in China and Korea (more billions added to the budget), then we made the Vietnamese into commies so we could then have a protracted war with them too (hundreds of billions).

Meanwhile, it looks to me that "the demons" have now selected yet another "new victim" -- in the form of what I regard as a contrived and manipulated projected war upon Islamic "terrorism".

But the consequences of all this is beyond scary.

By not reigning in our own personal Shadow could conceivably result in "complete destruction" as explained by von Franz in the first 23/24 seconds of her film interview (see: http://www.deeppoliticsforum.com/forums/....php?t=580).

By "complete destruction" von Franz meant: THE END. A nuclear holocaust - the schizophrenic shadow consequence of splitting the atom.

As Jung said (circa 1965): "...man is the cause of all coming evil".
The shadow is a moral problem that challenges the whole ego-personality, for no one can become conscious of the shadow without considerable moral effort. To become conscious of it involves recognizing the dark aspects of the personality as present and real. This act is the essential condition for any kind of self-knowledge.
