1) Witness Sam Holland on the over pass saw the puff of smoke "hanging" and coming from out under the tree where the sniper (and the Marrs/Baker test sniper) was located ~ Mark Lane film interview
2) Wiegman photo captures the "puff of smoke" on camera
3) US Senator Ralph Yarborough and Mayor Cabell's wife smelled the "gunsmoke" as their cars passed by the North Knoll / wooden fence.
4) Mark Lane film and book "Rush to Judgement" interviews numerous witnesses who say the "puff of smoke" at the wooden fence.
5) A head/hat/helmet image can be seen at the precise location of the sniper under the tree at the fence parallel to Elm street in the Moorman photo.
IMHO, the smoke came from a rifle. Even if it was a "diversion", it illustrates conspiracy to assassinate the President.
It wasn't a camel cigarette or a car back fire.
