Eduardo Rózsa-Flores condemned from his own mouth:

On 21 April 2009 Hungarian Television broadcast a previously unreleased interview[2] recorded in September 2008 with Rózsa-Flores by Hungarian journalist András Kepes. Rózsa-Flores had requested the interview prior to leaving Hungary for Bolivia, and asked Kepes not to release the interview until either he returned from Bolivia, or "in the event anything should happen to me there".

Rózsa-Flores claimed, that a Bolivian national requested him to return to Bolivia and help establish a milita defense system for the Bolivian city of Santa Cruz, in response to a perceived central government abuses. Rózsa-Flores said the local politicians wanted to establish the self-defence militia force within the framework of the local regulations. He was tasked to select the leaders of the militia, and help create a structure for the system using experiences gained from his Croatian military operation.

He stated the militia role was to be strictly one of self-defense in the event of aggression by either central government or native "indian" paramilitary forces. and not to attack anyone. A part of a previous interview [3] has shown in the film where he condemned terrorist activities.

He said his decision to accept the request was unconditional and motivated solely by a desire to defend the land of his birth.
