US-CUBA Partial Normalization - Obama Finally Makes a Correct Move!
#6
Well, the Cuban people are delirious with joy about the remaining 5 prisoners being released. They should never have been charged in the first place. Lifting the embargo, even partially, will make life significantly better for most. But, yes, as they say, 'Why has there never been a coup in America? Because there is no US embassy there' Mind you they have always operated there any way. Maybe it will just make it easier to keep tabs on them now? Setting things to a normal diplomatic relationship is a good thing but being friends of the US is deadly. Hope they remember their history. I have very mixed feelings and some dread.
"The philosophers have only interpreted the world, in various ways. The point, however, is to change it." Karl Marx

"He would, wouldn't he?" Mandy Rice-Davies. When asked in court whether she knew that Lord Astor had denied having sex with her.

“I think it would be a good idea” Ghandi, when asked about Western Civilisation.
