Just spent some time re-reading this.....last time was likely 1974!....Mae was no lightweight and no crackpot. She investigated and spoke out about conspiracies and deceits, but, IMHO, about real ones...and they didn't fool her one little bit once she started investigated them. She was way ahead of her time, and it is sad she died [was likely murdered] early. In some ways she was the mother of this kind of research, which has now spread. What she wrote in 1974 stands up today - and in her long article she is NOT just writing about the SLA and Patty Hearst, but the entire intelligence/deep state apparatus to control political thought, debate and action.
Check out her cast of characters and their deep backgrounds....!
While after listening to Brad Schreiber talk, I don't doubt his book take the entire 'episode' in American Potemkin Village Life further, with new information he dug up and has become available since Mae's time, but a lot of the basic research was done by Mae on this...and at the time she was a brilliant, and almost lone voice on this matter.
