I was a little skeptical at first because of the way his sources are organized but Im halfway through and there is a lot of information that I hadn't come across before. Apparently Dick Russell gave Schreiber his file which included notes from Lake Headley, Patty Hearst's private investigator. One think I learned is that the SLA was organized as a prison gang by prison authorities as an inter racial gang that had a presence in several prisons including folsom and vacaville. and the remiro and little didnt fire the shots that killed Marcus Foster, they were the back up team, it was mizmoon and Nancy Ling Perry. Schreiber does credit Mae Brussell (many researchers don't). Like I said Im only half way done. One question in my mind was that Scheiber says that the SLA was created by the CIA and the CDC but that Defreeze failed to do what he was supposed to do which was to raise an actual guerrilla army and he failed at that and sort of went off the rails because he was such a broken man. Also that it was Colston Westbrook who implanted the idea that Marcus Foster was a fascist and should be eliminated. Schreiber suspects that Foster was regarded as an enemy by Evelle Younger and Reagan. Ive heard other theories that Foster found out about something regarding the Oakland Schools that he wasnt supposed involving the Peoples Temple and student recruitment for Jonestown to and had to be eliminated... Anyway I highly recommend this book, its going to introduce this hidden history to a whole new generation of readers,,
