It ensures ticket prices are kept low and nobody can run up silly debts or put anything first but the fans. Premier League games cost an extortianate amount of money these days, yet you can go watch Bayern or Dortmund for £10, it's bordering criminal how things are ran here to be honest.
I'm almost certain with the German model of ownership, the situations at numerous clubs like Portsmouth, Chester, Darlington, Rangers etc would never have happened.
