A Collection of Fine Essays on JFK
#1
Hi all,

I've grouped together a series of old and new assassination-related articles on this web site:

http://home.comcast.net/~johnkelin/fifty/jump.html

While the site is essentially completed, comments on its appearance, content selection, etc etc, are welcome.

As I assembled this over several days, I wasn't really sure what the point was. A nod to the coming anniversary, I guess. A tiny counter-weight to the anticipated deluge of media sludge that has, of course, already started.

Please feel free to link to it in any way available.

PS
All of the site's HTML has validated on the W3C site. But sometimes valid markup can get mangled by certain browsers so beware. No lifeguard on duty. I may be unleashing this too soon. I hope to swing by the local library soon and view it through a PC (I've got a Mac), which is the real litmus test. But it's snowing like hell at the moment, so I may not make it today...

Thank you John. I loved Fair Play and missed it.
When I have time I will go through this link. Just got back from vacation and will be working nonstop for the next few weeks
playing catch up.

Hope to see you in Dallas for the 50th. And yes we need more positive thoughts/contributions re the 50th. This is literally "The Last Hurrah".

Fair Play I have missed too.

Yes, John, was just in the middle of sending you a PM. I thought it needed some clarity as it could be a collection of any thing or asking for a collection of some thing.
"The philosophers have only interpreted the world, in various ways. The point, however, is to change it." Karl Marx

"He would, wouldn't he?" Mandy Rice-Davies. When asked in court whether she knew that Lord Astor had denied having sex with her.

“I think it would be a good idea” Ghandi, when asked about Western Civilisation.

I'll edit it again if you prefer some thing else?

No, that's fine. I just noticed it had been tinkered with, and got curious. I'll grant you that original line was a bit vague.

My intention with this site is to keep it very spare. I have, however, added a new item: a 1963 commentary by Richard Dudman, then of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, which first appeared in The New Republic in December 1963.

Dudman wrote an early article that appeared in the P-D, I think on 12-1-63, quoting Parkland doctors about a throat wound. Has anyone ever seen it? I haven't. A google search using the obvious keywords turned up zilch. I haven't checked NARA yet.

Dudman did not appear before the WC, and they didn't include his article in the 26 volumes. Arlen Specter got one of the doctors Dudman quoted, Robert McClellan, to back off on his statements.
