Traffic Accident with Deep Connections
On February 15, 2013, Mr. Yasin Abdullah A. Kadi, having a meeting with Mr. Hakan Fidan, Undersecretary of Turkish National Intelligence Agency (MIT), in Ankara and then moving to Istanbul, had an interesting traffic accident together with his business associate and close relative Usame Kutub, and Ibrahim Yildiz, Police Lieutenant at Prime Ministry's Guard Office while they were traveling by official vehicle in Bakirkoy, Istanbul, on February 16, 2013. In the accident, the car was wrecked and these three passengers (Kutub, A. Kadi and Yildiz) were then taken to the Bagcilar Medipol Hospital for medical treatment.
The accident was immediately reported to the Prime Minister by Mustafa Latif Topbas (very close friend of A. Kadi). The Prime Minister then asked his son Bilal Erdogan to go to the hospital. A. Kadi and Kutub did not have any serious injuries, but that was not the case for Lieutenant Yildiz. For several days, Lt. Yildiz stayed in the hospital under medical observation.
However; the original report was replaced with a new report to cover up such seemingly unexplainable togetherness in the accident. The new report claimed "as if Lt. Ibrahim Yildiz was alone during the accident", but he was actually not.

Meeting with Hakan Fidan - Head of MIT (Turkish National Intelligence Agency)
While he has been in Turkey Yasin A. Kadi has continued to sustain his political connections along with his trade relationship. Despite his restriction to enter to Turkey, Yasin A. Kadi met with Mr. Fidan on five different occasions.
His first meeting with Fidan, Undersecretary of MIT (National Intelligence Agency) was around 4:30 p.m., on June 25, 2012. They met at Marmara Pavillion, which is in the premises of Undersecretariat in Ataturk Orman Ciftligi. Marmara Pavillion is used by the Prime Minister for his special guests.
The Prime Minister was informed about the meeting and Sefer Turan, Advisor to the Prime Minister on the Middle East Issues, was also present at the meeting.
A. Kadi traveled from Istanbul to Ankara by a private jet, owned by Mehmet Cengiz, a wealthy businessman. During his presence in Istanbul and Ankara, the Prime Minister's Personal Guards have escorted Yasin A. Kadi.
Kadi and Fidan met two times in Istanbul, the first meeting took place on April 14, 2012 at the Halic Congress Center, and the second meeting was on June 14, 2012 at Istanbul Regional Directorate of MIT. Kadi has managed to enter an official building of MIT even though his assets have been frozen and there was a restriction against his entry to Turkey. Moreover, they met three times in Ankara on the 29th of September 2012, 13th of December 2012 and 15th of February 2013.
