This problem might indicate why Bolivian Foreign Minister David Choquehuanca accused France and Portugal of putting the president's life at risk by cancelling authorisation for the plane. But it is hard to believe that those countries would have refused permission to land if a problem was reported.
A press officer at Vienna airport said she could not confirm whether or not the audio recording was genuine. That seems very far fetched....and too easy to expose. No government has denied it refused the plane permission to enter its space and they too could have offered it to land to fix any physical problems! Things don't 'fit'....but such is the nature of Deep Politics.

The initial flight plan called for an overflight of France and Spain and a refueling stop in Lisbon. From there the plane could have flown nonstop to La Paz.
It is also clear that the plane coming from Moscow could not have crossed the Atlantic without a refueling stop.
I think it is possible that a wrong reason for the unplanned landing was given to the Air Traffic Control in Vienna.

I think this is the same guy that I used to listen to during the Libyan no fly slaughter. He is legit. But there are many strange things going on. France and Portugal and Italy have cleared his plane. Spain has said, and I kid you not, that they have to check with their 'friend' (the US) to see if it is okay....talk about a little lickspittle vassal state. The Spanish ambassador in Austria also wanted to "drink some coffee on board the plane with Morales to make sure there was no Snowden on board". The Austrians have said they don't fear Snowden and allowed the plane to land. As President Cristina Kirchner said "Mother of God the world has gone mad" as she conversed with Evo and he legal advisors.

La Paz, 2 jul (ABI).- Bolivia denunció el "secuestro" de su presidente Evo Morales, impedido de despegar del aeropuerto de Viena, Austria, donde aterrizó a media tarde del martes de emergencia, luego que Francia y Portugal primero y luego Italia y España negaran después de autorizarlo la utilización de su espacio aéreo y aeropuertos, lo que llevó al vicepresidente Alvaro GarcÃa Linera a denunciar, en La Paz, la violación de la Convención de Viena y a pedir expresiones de repudio internacional.
"Desde las 4 de la tarde hasta esta hora, son las 10h35, el presidente Evo sigue estacionado en el aeropuerto de Viena. Queremos decir a los bolivianos, queremos decir al mundo que el presidente Evo Morales, nuestro presidente, el presidente de los bolivianos, hoy por hoy está secuestrado en Europa; queremos decirle a los pueblos del mundo que el presidente Evo Morales ha sido secuestrado por el imperialismo y está retenido en Europa", denunció GarcÃa Linera durante una emisión de prensa extraordinaria en el patio principal del Palacio Quemado en La Paz.
Acompañado del gabinete ministerial en pleno, en su calidad de gobernante boliviano en funciones, GarcÃa Linera denunció, asimismo, la violación flagrante de la Convención de Viena en lo que concierne a los vuelos oficiales y la utilización de espacios aéreos y aeropuertos, previamente consentida.
El Vicepresidente deploró la polÃtica de ParÃs y Lisboa, lo mismo que tácitamente de Roma y Madrid de impedir, en el primer caso, después de autorizarlo, que el avión de Morales opere espacio aéreo y se reabastezca en aeródromo galo, lo que conllevó un riesgo para la vida de Morales, que tras 3 horas y media en el aire, desde que partió de Moscú, donde habÃa asistido a una cumbre de paÃses exportadores de gas, debió buscar, de emergencia, la franja del aeropuerto de Viena para posarse.
"En violación absoluta de la Convención de Viena que establece que los vuelos de los presidentes del mundo no pueden ser obstruidos y tienen inmunidad, un par de gobiernos europeos prohibió que pueda pasar por espacio aéreo el avión del presidente Evo", denunció GarcÃa Linera ante medio centenar de periodistas nacionales y extranjeros.
Hacia las 23h18 locales, Morales seguÃa varado en Viena, a la espera de poder configurar un nuevo plan que le permita levantar vuelo a La Paz.
El dignatario boliviano, que denunció incluso un intento de chantaje, de un funcionario diplomático de España, para que Morales admita, contra la norma internacional, la requisa de la aeronave oficial de Bolivia, lamentó que el mandatario boliviano es el primer gobernante "rehén del imperio".
"El imperialismo ha secuestrado al presidente Evo, el imperialismo ha secuestrado a la verdad; la mentira imperial ha secuestrado a la verdad de los pueblos, el abuso imperial ha secuestrado a la dignidad de los pueblos. El gobernante boliviano pidió la unidad de Latinoamérica para enfrentar el "colonialismo putrefacto" detrás de la polÃtica contra el avión de Morales, cuya honestidad defendió a capa y espada.
"El presidente Evo no es ningún delincuente, el presidente Evo tiene el derecho de cualquier presidente de inmunidad de su vuelo, y lo que decimos es cierto, nunca hemos mentido, se ha dado las informaciones que corresponde a los viajes oficiales y esa es nuestra última palabra", mantuvo.
Por último, después de asegurar la unidad monolÃtica de los estamentos bolivianos en este trance, GarcÃa Linera llamó a la clase obrera internacional, a los campesinos y jóvenes del mundo, a repudiar la acción contra Morales, "que va en contra de los principios que regulan la convivencia pacÃfica y democrática entre pueblos".
