What I stressed at the very beginning of the 50th anniversary "planning" thread was the need to create hubs. i.e., places from which many threads emerged and linked to wider traffic non-specialist political sites with links that made connections e.g. between NSA surveillance and defiance of elected government in 1963. Ignore one the other is eventually cause.

Now Marlene has a means of exponentially expanding listener, reader base in a key demographic both for further research, history, and potential actions re Truth and Reconciliation Committees etc., if you think it is possible or even if you think it might be useful politically at some point in order to rebuild a public sphere, whenever that might be possible.

What we need is people with a mic audience and web sites to ACTIVELY PROMOTE THE CREATION OF THESE HUBS so that when Citizen John Doe on November 11th 2013 hears something curious about .. for example JFK and Diem Coup he WILL AT LEAST HAVE A CHANCE of going to a good site to check it out. The official story holds stratospheric media advantages over us. A completely decentralized whatever will be will be attitude in the face of that massive, corporate propaganda campaign will be the death of history.

I sincerely hope that either Len or Jim will ask their listeners on BOR to spread the threads, create a much higher viewership and and also much higher traffic to DPF and CTKA. Without building these three hubs, everything will be a disaster. I have been doing everything I can posting on more than 100 group sites, but if all people here care about is satisfying INDIVIDUAL PRIVATIZED CURIOSITIES and never even give a damn about the public acknowledgement of the historical truth of the National Security State in 1963 AND WHAT THAT IMPLIES ABOUT WHAT THE GOVERNMENT IS TEACHING INTO THE BRAIN OF EVERY SCHOOL-KID NY TO CALIFORNIA RIGHT NOW... if that personal curiosity is all they care about then maybe the term buffs is apt.

I agree with you Nate, you tirelessly post more then is almost humanly possible on the Facebook group alone!

I feel that most of what can be known - we know - what little is left at the Archives will be sanitized before we ever get our hands on it and yes some juicy nuggets will be there but basically - we know. Now it's time for everyone else to know.

One small digression about the National Archives. I was there in June researching the Eisendrath Report for Jim D. - I had never been there before so I had to go through the whole process of getting an ID etc.. I finally got to the JFK area and spoke to the guy who helps you there. He couldn't find anything related to the report and said there is a specialist there who deals only with the JFK stuff. I'm sure you all know her - Lisa something or other. He calls her and she magically appears within I would say a minute, she says she will go get the box I requested herself and it was available to me in the time it took me to walk over to the desk where they deliver the boxes. Now, I wouldn't have found this a bit curious except that everyone else had to wait an hour to 3 hours to get their boxes. I search through the box and there is only a 2 page reference to Eisendrath - I check the info Jim sent me and realize that I have the wrong box. I go back to the guy who calls Lisa - who couldn't have appeared faster if she had been sitting next to me - and again the box is brought out immediately. It was creepy instead of "wow, cool" that's amazing service. Not long after I got back from Washington I heard an interview that Len did with Barry Ernest on the release of the paperback version of "The Girl On The Stairs" and he mentioned that he had gone to the Archives between publication of the hard cover and paperback on a tip from a reader and I think it was an audio tape that had been there last time he visited was suddenly missing. I find this disturbing and it says to me that they will do anything and everything even after 50 years to cover up the truth.

I think our only hope is to have people to pass the torch to - like Jim Garrison told his children to stay healthy so that they could be alive when the records were released - so that they could carry on after him.

Interesting question Marlene. The witnesses to the event will and are leaving us. Many already gone. What is important is to get their stories on film and in writing so that others in the future can access and learn from them. Also to show how things have flowed from that event. Every one is affected. All the presidents since have been captive to the same forces which removed him. And not just what has flowed since but what led to it. The same forces which tried to remove FDR in the 30's with their friendly acceptance of fascism. If we don't learn from the past we are destined to repeat it.

That is a great idea Magda. A documentary interviewing many who, like myself, knew day one it was a conspiarcy and detailing why we had no belief in the official story. Couple that with how that day continued....WC Ford becoming president, making Poppy Bush head of the CIA...thus setting up a Bush crime family dynasty who would later also serve twelve long years in the WH. )WIll Jeb be next?).

I know I'm new here but I am not new to assassination research. I find the threads on DPF fascinating - and within the research community whether it be here or Lancer, etc.. there is an incredible amount of info and insight. The problem IMHO is that we/you are preaching to the choir. Obviously the deep discussions about every detail should continue but what are we going to do about getting new blood interested?

We are 50 years out from that day and though everyone I meet who asks me about my interests wants to discuss the JFK assassination - they know basically nothing about it. They are interested for the length of the discussion but with rare exception do not pursue more knowledge after we are finished talking. To most young people, and I have talked to many people from early teens through 30 somethings - it is interesting but past history even though unsolved.

The research community is aging - so many of us were alive in 1963 and old enough to remember and so many of us are already gone that I am worried that in addition to the obfuscation, lies, planted material, pro WC people and the government and mainstream media who will support the WC until the end of time that when we go most of the interest will go.

Please tell me I am wrong.

The issue I see plaguing the conspiracy community is the lack of unity. I am new to this board, but also not new to the JFK assassination or large world events, but I received a welcome as rude as any I have received on ACJ and other boards that are loaded with WC defenders. The reason being is this--many conspiracy minded folks fall into the same trap the WC defenders do--they are hooked to a theory and won't consider anything that does NOT match-up with that conclusion.

I simply said some researchers have said JFK suffered the same three wounds Mason Hiram Abif did and you would think I had said the WC got it right! The attacks I received, two of the culprits are moderators too, were nasty and one called me a disinformation agent! LOL! They said this issue has been resolved, but by whom? Should I just take their word for it and forget about it? No is the answer for me.

I was told the same thing about the clip issue on another board and again, sorry, I don't buy it.

Some people who believe LHO was in the doorway are viciously attacked too for their beliefs. Why? I don't think the image looks like LHO, but why attack them and call them names for their beliefs? I also don't believe the SS agent accidently shot JFK in the head with his AR-15 either, but again, why attack them and call them names? The reason given is this is leading us down the wrong path, but as you said we don't see to be going down the right path or any path most of the time as many CTers have a difference of opinion. Given NO real investigation has ever been done how can we just dismiss things without giving solid reasons why? I never got any solid reason for dismissing my post other than it "has been shown to be false". Again, by whom?

If we can't take the time to show a CTer is wrong in his/her thinking in a polite and productive way (i.e. with evidence) then we will never get anywhere and the younger people are so busy with so many things they won't take the time to learn this stuff if they are greeted as warmly as I was.

It is up to us that have followed and researched this case for many years to bring it forward to a new, younger audience and leave it for them to continue to research and hopefully resolve one day.
