Oklahoma City as a Precursor to 911
#11
Great post Bruce. This is my tentative conclusion about the purpose of 911 version 1.0 (aka Oklahoma City):

"The event led to “anti-terrorism” laws that impinge on our constitutional rights" As you said.

I say tentative because I'm still trying to decide where it fits into the big picture. But I do think it's part of the big picture.

In the photo below right, we see once again the sketch of "John Doe 2" and comparisons to suspects as identified by David Hoffman in his essential -- and long suppressed -- The Oklahoma City Bombing and the Politics of Terror.

Sorry about the quality of the scans. Hoffman nominates Michael Brescia (bottom right in scan) as the "actual" JD2.

For our Lucky Strike Extra, and for all you doppelganger fans fans out there, enjoy the comparison portraits, below left, of Timothy McVeigh and an "unidentified ATF agent" -- who might be McVeigh dressed in civvies for security purposes.

Myra,

Remember, either/or postulates are encouraged by, but antithetical to the understanding of, intelligence operations.

You are absolutely correct, I submit, in your "big picture" conclusion.

I THEORIZE that Timothy McVeigh might have been a willing
patsy who was given a new identity and may be still alive.
I will not believe his is dead unless they show us the body.
The "execution" was done in secret.

In intel scenarios, anything is possible.

I was just about to say, when I saw your post Jack, was that one of the biggest mysteries to me was how they kept McVeigh from 'talking' about being the patsy [as Oswald did and was quickly silenced for], but went to his 'death' almost silently. I do believe however, that wasn't it Vidal himself who went to the execution after having developed a friendship with him. Vidal did believe he didn't act alone and was framed for the 'rap'. The official 'investigation' at OKC was even worse [if that is possible] than for 9/11. Even those who 'buy' generally the official fiction agree on this. But, as always, these sham investigations are done to sychronize the lies.

Jack, that is a tempting theory, but in my mind that would imply a complete turnaround for McVeigh, from virulently anti-government in thought, word and deed to a complicit partner in government's plot. I just don't see him quietly living out the rest of his life somewhere as another person; never at least surfacing now and then a la Elvis.

My theory is that McVeigh was involved, but was used and didn't find out until later. As Vidal explained, when the magnitude of the crime dawned on him (having not known of the daycare center in the building until after the fact) he took the path of the stoic soldier and made the best of it for himself and his cause. He died a martyr for his cause.

America shaken by Beirut-style car bomb
SECTION: International news
LENGTH: 1014 words

By Stephane BenturaOKLAHOMA CITY, Oklahoma, April 20 (AFP) - Rescue crews were hunting for some 200 people missing in the wreckage of the building from from the Oklahoma car bomb attack, with 33 already found dead and the toll expected to climb.
Meanwhile, the manhunt began for the perpetrators of one of the worst terrorist attacks in US history. Federal experts feared the death toll could top 200.
More than 200 people were injured in the blast, 58 criticially, from a powerful car bomb that sheared the federal building in half, Fire Chief Gary Marrs said. Officials said 200 people were missing in the blast.

Although federal authorities said they had no strong lead on the attackers, a Texas police source quoted in Thursday's El Paso Times said an all-points bulletin had been put out for two people possibly smeared with blood who could be trying to cross into Mexico at Laredo, Texas.Police Sergeant Kim Hughes said the bomb was believed to be in a minivan with Texas plates owned by National Car Rental. The vehicle's axel was found two blocks from the bomb site, a police source said.
The attack spawned bomb scares around the country and prompted Clinton to order that security be stepped up at federal offices throughout the country, the White House said.
Oklahoma Governor Frank Keating said he was told by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) that one of the many leads being followed included three people of Middle Eastern descent traveling in a brown pickup truck.
Assistant Fire Chief Jon Hansen said rescue crews late Wednesday had pulled three people from the rubble, two of whom died a short time later. A 15-year-old girl was taken to hospital in critical condition.
"Our firefighters are having to crawl over corpses in areas to get to people that are still alive," Hansen added.
Rescuers were further hampered in their search as they came across what they thought might be more bombs. Police Sergeant Bill Martin said the suspicious objects were equipment stored in the building by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF).
The tragedy touched the hearts of Americans since 12 of the dead were children from one to seven years of age. They were among 40 attending a day-care center inside the building.
Martin confirmed that 12 children were killed, correcting an earlier figure of 17 given by a paramedic.
"The bombing in Oklahoma City was an attack on innocent children and defenseless citizens. It was an act of cowardice, and it was evil," a grim President Bill Clinton said Wednesday.
"Let there be no room for doubt. We will find the people who did this. When we do, justice will be swift and severe," he said. "These people are killers and they must be treated like killers."
Attorney General Janet Reno said the government would seek the death penalty once the perpetrators were apprehended.
AFP
The attack occurred on the second anniversary of a fiery finale to a standoff between members of a cult in Waco, Texas and law enforcement agents, and officials said the FBI had received recent bomb threats.
The blast, a little over two years after the World Trade Center bombing in New York that killed six people, has further eroded Amercans' feeling that they are safe from terrorism.
Unconfirmed reports suggested international terrorists, possibly backed by anti-US regimes in Iran or Iraq, were behind the attack but FBI spokesman Bob Ricks told a news conference his department had "no indication with regards to a group. Nor do we have any indications of reasons.
A Justice Department official said six people had called saying they were from different Moslem sects and claiming responsibility for the bombing, but that there was no way to know if the calls were genuine.
There were reports that two unexploded bombs were found near the blast site, which experts said could provide a major break for investigators. An intact bomb could yield important clues from the way it is constructed.
Clinton dispatched a crack team of investigators to the bomb site and the FBI assigned four men to set up a 24-hour command post to supervise four FBI evidence response and explosive ordonnance teams, bomb technicians, and five of the bureau's top bombing investigators.
The ATF as well as the US Secret Service, the state national guard and US Army also dispatched personnel.
ATF director John Magaw said the bombing, which blew a 10 meter (30-foot) long and 2.5-meter (eight-foot) deep crater in front of the federal building, was caused by an auto packed with some 450 kilograms (1,000 pounds) of explosives.
He said it was comparable in size to bomb used at the World Trade Center.

Gore Vidal was invited to be one of the witnesses to the execution but was not able to go:

"
[size=12]It is now June 11, a hot, hazy morning here in Ravello. We’ve just watched Son of Show Time in Terre Haute, Indiana. CNN duly reported that I had not been ab le to be a witness, as McVeigh had requested: the attorney general had given me too short a time to get from here to there. I felt somewhat better when I was told that, lying on the gurney in the execution chamber, he would not have been able to see any of us through the tinted glass windows all around him. But then members of the press who were present said that he had deliberately made "eye contact" with his witnesses and with them. He did see his witnesses, according to Cate McCauley, who was one. "You could tell he was gone after the first shot," she said. She had worked on his legal case for a year as one of his defense investigators."

Vidal and McVeigh did correspond. Vidal talks about it in his Vanity Fair article

Bruce Clemens Wrote:. . . Here’s a link to a series of photos showing a Ryder truck at a secure compound inside an Army base not far from Oklahoma City.
The site claims that the photos were taken just days before the bombing but provides no citations. The site states "In a recently discovered news article written by the Washington Post on June 17th, 1997, the Oklahoma National Guard authenticates the following photos as being exactly what they appear to be, photos of a Ryder truck in a clandestine base at Camp Gruber-Braggs."
However a Lexis Nexis search I did this morning fails to produce anything from the Washington Post for that date that confirms this.

Further digging has found the source:

... Other Web sites carry photos of a Ryder truck parked at a military installation in Oklahoma, where conspiracy-minded investigators contend the fertilizer bomb was assembled.
The Oklahoma National Guard confirmed Friday that the aerial photos were indeed taken above Camp Gruber in the fall of 1994 and said the classified project involved weapons sensors and was overseen by the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency. The National Guard's statement said the truck "had no association whatsoever with the tragedy at the Alfred P. Murrah Building."

Bruce, from simply ages ago I think (?) I remember that the photo of the Ryder truck in the Army compound turned out to be a fake (presumably designedly so...). I remember looking at it at the time it first began circulating on the internet.

Having said that I can't be positive.

This is an important thread imo. I feel sure that Strassmeir was an intelligence plant. He was former German military and his father was a German politician who I believe was close to former German Chancellor Kohl. The whole thing reeks.
The shadow is a moral problem that challenges the whole ego-personality, for no one can become conscious of the shadow without considerable moral effort. To become conscious of it involves recognizing the dark aspects of the personality as present and real. This act is the essential condition for any kind of self-knowledge.
