Air Force officers wanted to "impeach" JFK

I found this in Pat Speer's online book - a 12/6/1963 letter from Allen Dulles to James Angleton.

"Please see enclosed letter from Jose Colon. Over the phone he told me had some information, rather vague, about some plot of Air Force officers to 'impeach' President Kennedy, including an Air Force officer who had been attache in Czechoslovakia. I told him that such information should be brought to the attention of the FBI."

As I was doing my research for the Mexico Piece I came across this related to the Mexican-Czech Cultural exchange...

The bottom blurb talks of the Russian Embassy and an arrangement for Tuesday that is moved to Friday... but them noticed he was being overheard and stopped talking.

Oswald is said to be at the Russian Embassy on Friday Sept 27th. Moving it UP from what may have been Oct 1st which is the day the Mystery Man photos is accepted as haveing been taken when it was actually taken on the 4th.

Not sure if there is a relationship - just thought you might like to see it.

I wish we could find out who this "Jose Colon" was. Obviously someone who knew Allen Dulles well enough to have his phone number.

Czechoslovakia went Communist in 1948, but remained an early source of weapons for the Israelis.

Of all the branches of the military I would suspect of leading the plot against JFK, it would be the Air Force.

Maybe Dulles was playing games? I don't get the impression he'd use real people's names...
