Director of 'Food, Inc.' sheds light on the power of misinformation in a new documentary

Mar 2nd 2015 2:07PM

Robert Kenner, best known for his popular documentary "Food, Inc.," seeks to expose a world of misinformation in his latest doc "Merchants of Doubt."

The new film reveals the pundits-for-hire who pose as scientific authorities on Capitol Hill with the goal of promoting corporate interests. Think: Who's shaping national policies regarding chemicals, medications and global warming? It's a chilling look at the power of propaganda.

To learn more, catch our AOL BUILD interview with Kenner at 4 p.m. EST in the video above. He'll be discussing this new project live!
"All that is necessary for tyranny to succeed is for good men to do nothing." (unknown)

James Tracy: "There is sometimes an undue amount of paranoia among some conspiracy researchers that can contribute to flawed observations and analysis."

Gary Cornwell (Dept. Chief Counsel HSCA): "A fact merely marks the point at which we have agreed to let investigation cease."

Alan Ford: "Just because you believe it, that doesn't make it so."

Thanks Drew. It looks good. That's all they need achieve, doubt, they don't have to make their case but just create enough doubt to undermine the truth. We see it happen with the lone nutters and the creationists and the tobacco lobby and CO2 producing oil interests.
"The philosophers have only interpreted the world, in various ways. The point, however, is to change it." Karl Marx

"He would, wouldn't he?" Mandy Rice-Davies. When asked in court whether she knew that Lord Astor had denied having sex with her.

“I think it would be a good idea” Ghandi, when asked about Western Civilisation.

That's the murder America gets away with. It sells itself as a nation strictly governed by rule of law and truth and then it turns these bastards loose on us.
