One item of interest:

June 24, 1961: "When Khrushchev was in Vienna to meet President Kennedy, and up until the moment he left Vienna, ..... Khrushchev was evidently engaged in an act of personal diplomacy of such significance to himself that he had no desire to take any but his topmost colleagues in the Soviet hierarchy into his confidence."

June 26, 1961:

Sanitized material evidently involves Kuwait, as there is a map but no text.

July 28, 1961:

Dag Hammarskjold believes the presence of French troops in Tunisia is a "threat to peace" and will recommend French evacuation to the UN Security Council.

(Hammarskjold died in a mysterious plane crash on 9/18/61.)

From the Conference: Allan Dulles was JFK's personal CIA briefer as a candidate for president. Dulles and Bissell briefed JFK as President-Elect on Cuba.

Nixon blames CIA in part for his defeat by JFK. JFK administration prohibited CIA from briefing LBJ. McCone briefed LBJ on 11/24/15.

Semi-joke: "Presidential candidates that refuse daily CIA breifings don't get elected."

8/10/61: Material related to the Congo deleted.

(Might be related to the 8/28/61 dawn military operation by UN forces to arrest/sieze "foreigners" Operation Rumpunch(?). Lumumba kllled 12/1/60. Hammarskjöld died in the Congo on 9/18/61)

8/14/61: US has advance knowledge of Ethiopian plot to overthrow Emperor Selassie. (30 years later, the (newish) Emperor is overthrown.)

8/15/61: US notes Castro has changed travel plans and will not be visiting Belgrade.

On JFK's last briefing all of whatever was said of Cuba was redacted...hard to know what that was about. I also note that some country names are redacted [incredibly] along with all content about them. There are no doubt some hidden goodies, but it will take someone[s] lots of time to go through them all!...go for it.

Huffington Post never misses an opportunity to sneer at conspiracy buffs, and a lot of the comments are the same. Get your naked celebrity stories here, everybody. Don't look at that conspiracy stuff.
