Reflections in the trunk of the limousine
#1
A week ago there was an interesting post by Chris Bristow on Andrea Skolniks Facebook-group "JFK Assassination Books,Reviews and Discussion"

Quote:I found something of interest in Zapruders film. Watching reflections on the trunk of the limo you can see Jean Hills red coat and prior to that you can see those white concrete structures pass by and another witness' white shirt.
Right after Jean Hill and Mary Moorman you see what must be the brown cathedral. It is very distorted but regardless of what structure it is or whatever it is there is an anomaly. The other reflections, including the concrete structures move along the trunk and disappear within 5 frames or so. The brown building remains completely stationary(You can reference this by the edge of the building on the right side of the image) for almost 20 frames! In fact in the first few in creeps forward along the trunk until the image almost covers the length of the trunk. By frame 336 it is moving again and you see blue sky next to it.
Maybe it is two buildings and takes that long to move across, I can't make
sense of it.

This supports the idea the idea that the limo stopped during the head shot.
So is it a building or something else? How can it be stationary while the car should have traveled 30 feet in 2 seconds?

I tried to zoom in on the Zapruder-frames Chris Bristow is talking about, but the quality of the frames I have is just too low to see whatever he is seeing. A resolution of 260 KB per frame is just not good enough. Does anybody here see what Chris is talking about?

Very interesting. This is the type of high quality analysis I'm interested in.

Looking at Costella's frames, you can see Hill's coat's reflection from z301-305, then there seems to be a kind of vaguely rectangular brownish form that does seem to stay stationary on the trunk from z307-331, then begins to move in z332. Fascinating.

Costella's frames:

I see what you're talking about but it would take a serious technical analysis to figure out.

I'd like to note that this image isn't too blurry to analyze.

Agreed. The fact that it DOES eventually move is what make me think there may be something to the theory.

Maybe its a reflection of the old Union Terminal Annex Building? (that would be all the way across the plaza there, its called something else now.)

Looks more like the stone color of the Old Red Museum.

at Z312, theres a 10.8 degree downward slope from zapruder to JFK. Using that as a comparison, we can draw a straight line from zapruder thru JFK to the next thing it intersects, which is the South Peristyle. It looks like that would be out of "view" by z340 or so. Too bad Don robardeau's map didn't have elevations on that part of it.

Using Robardeau's map, the distance from JFK to the south peristyle is 104.5 feet, which would mean at a reflection angle of 10.8 degrees, the object would be a bit over 20 feet higher than JFK at that distance. I don't know how tall the peristyles are, but it looks like that's in the right ballpark. (plus the peristyles are gonna be uphill a bit from JFK.)

Light and shade and reflections can play interesting tricks...

I firmly believe the Zfilm was shot at 48fps and cut down to 18.3 removing some of the key tell-tale signs of the frontal shot(s)

I think the head turns which are simply too fast:

JFK at 157-158 [Image: attachment.php?attachmentid=7502&stc=1]

Greer at 301-303 [Image: attachment.php?attachmentid=7503&stc=1] and again at 317 [Image: attachment.php?attachmentid=7504&stc=1] convinces me that information from that film is missing..

We also know that the "original" at the archives is in 7 pieces and adds up to almost as much film as is on BOTH sides of 50ft roll... and does not have the 0183 anywhere imprinted...

Like a hammer whose head was replaced 3 times and handle twice - but it's still the original 50 year old hammer...::doh::

I hope the images below help clarify some of the assumptions made in that post. The limo slowed to a crawl or stop - there is no denying it.. if you have a mov version of the Zfilm and can run it backward you'll notice how slow the limo was going before it took off... I've done studies of Hill's movement from the QM to the back of the limo.. given what we see and the speeds claimed it is not possible for hil to get there in the time and number of steps he takes without the limo slowing to less than 3mph... which is basically stopped. (If you search this forum you will probably find that work)

Another convincing statement about alteration and the location of the limo at the different shots is Altgens (and you may also go see https://www.maryferrell.org/showDoc.html...6&tab=page is you want to see what the FBI concluded - I'll be doing an article on that amazing document soon)
