Donald Trump's longtime butler has reportedly called for President Barack Obama to be killed. Mother Jones reported on Thursday that Anthony Senecal, the presumptive Republican presidential nominee's former butler of 17 years, called for the 44th U.S. president to be "shot as an enemy agent," in a Facebook post. "Instead he still remains in office doing every thing he can to gut the America we all know and love !!!!!," Senecal continued.
The former butler, now the historian at Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida also reaffirmed his support for the billionaire businessman. "Now comes Donald J Trump to put an end to the corruption in government !!!!" "The so called elite, who are nothing but common dog turds from your front lawn are shaking in their boots because there is a new Sheriff coming to town, and the end to their corruption of the American people (YOU) is at hand !!!!"
Senecal also called out potential Trump general election rivals Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders in the social media tirade. "I cannot believe that a common murder is even allowed to run (killery clinton)," said Senecal before calling Sanders a "commie." In an interview with Mother Jones, Senecal confirmed he was the author of the post, saying, "I wrote that ... I believe that." A Trump campaign spokeswoman told Mother Jones, "This individual has not worked at Mar-a-Lago for many years."
Thursday's controversial comments by Trump's former butler come mere hours after the real estate mogul sat down with House of Representatives Speaker Paul Ryan in an effort to further bridge the divide in the Republican party following a contentious primary. Ryan called the session "great," saying the meeting was "a positive step toward party unity."
