Good luck Mark. I hope you wind up with whichever bits you hoped to acquire. And then I hope they're authentic.

Maybe someone will fall for it.
I actually think you're in the minority. I am also forced to mention that this site does not allow Lone Nutters. At some point an evaluation has to be made if denial of Harvey & Lee and Janney, and backing of notorious sites, requires accountability on that account in regard to the very real assassination of Mary Meyer by CIA and how it relates to Kennedy's assassination.
Oh yes, let's have the forum become an organized religion so we can declare people guilty of heresy, and split off into rival churches (forums) that have five members each.
Personally, if it was my forum, there would be no limitations on membership. LNers can be easily ignored when you get tired of playing with them.
I totally disagree Tracy. LNers are never to be ignored. But they are also a waste of time and a distraction. Further I believe those who post on these forums have sinister motives. None of the LNers I know ever go near forums such as these. They just don't give this case a thought. Those who waste our time on attempting to defend the big lie are barred from this forum for a reason. Many are receiving payment from Langley I suspect. They cannot be "educated" or changed. They love their lies. Bask in them. They will never be permitted a voice here.'
Dawn
I understand, Dawn. I'm just kind of a free speech extremist. I agree that the LNers on the internet are not sincere people, but I'm pretty skilled at treating them with the sarcasm and contempt they deserved. Anyway, not my forum.

Albert, you say "that denial of real evidence should also be disallowed" - who among us on this forum is qualified to judge what is "real evidence" for everyone else, and who should be banned for denying it? I don't agree with every single part of Armstrong's theory, for example, though I think his book is very good.

You yourself just said you are pretty skilled at detecting Lone Nutters.
A Congressman was once asked to define how he determined what was obscene. He said I know it when I see it or something to that degree.
My particular complaint is this side discussion is very effective at helping persons avoid answering the clear evidence in Janney of Leary having a relationship with Mary Meyer as well as the genuineness of this recent letter. We are all upholding of truth right?

I said I'm skilled at treating them with sarcasm and contempt. In any case, there is a vast world of difference between a Lone Nutter and the rest of us, and we are going to have to agree to disagree about some things, and not question each other's sincerity.

Just an update on Jack's letter to Mary being auctioned off. Bidding is now at 41k, using 5k increments. Gotta drop the mic' on this one.
Too rich for me. I'll just do with xeroxing the pages on their website.
Oh, bytheway, it was Supreme Court Justice Potter Stewart who, when asked to describe obscenity (Jacobellis v. Ohio), part of his response was "But I know it when I see it".

The letter from Jack to "Pinch" is closing in on $73,000. It is a world gone mad.
In Bibi Gaston's book on Mary's half-sister Rosamond 'The Loveliest Woman in America', Mary was quoted as saying that Rosamond's diaries/letters should have been burned.
What hath Ms. Lincoln wrought?
On the auction page, it lists the provenance as being from the Estate of Robert White, who passed away in 2003, and his collection was auctioned off in 2005. Google 'Robert White JFK' for more info, if you care to.

If the letter was influential in the assassination of both parties it is probably worth that.
In America however it would not shock me if the value was being driven up by those who want to make JFK look bad.
