Bill Fite Wrote: Thompson also did a brilliant cover of The Who's Legal Matter. I've searched high and low to find a version but without success.
"There are three sorts of conspiracy: by the people who complain, by the people who write, by the people who take action. There is nothing to fear from the first group, the two others are more dangerous; but the police have to be part of all three,"

This is a remarkable cover of The Zombies classic for at least two reasons, neither of them musical, as Bill York has sensibly pointed out. Still, in my book, that's no reason to overlook the interpretation:

Paul Rigby Wrote: Ah, the days of dives and rats are sadly long gone. I remember one particular cellar club - later closed after a full-scale raid by the plod - that had mammoth rats running around it during the day... and druggies vomiting in the corner by night. Bring back the 60's I say!! The shadow is a moral problem that challenges the whole ego-personality, for no one can become conscious of the shadow without considerable moral effort. To become conscious of it involves recognizing the dark aspects of the personality as present and real. This act is the essential condition for any kind of self-knowledge. Carl Jung - Aion (1951).
