3 FBI names directly associated with the evidence get no mention on this forum

The first two were sent by Belmont on Sunday the 24th to oversee every item of evidence:

The third man, FBI SA James R Malley

Mr. MALLEY. In the General Investigative Division, I happened to be the No. 1 man, and as you heard, I was assigned to handle liaison with the, oh, you haven't heard yet, I was assigned to handle liaison with the Warren Commission.
There was also a criminal section, whose section chief was James Hanley. An individual by the name of Henry Schutz was a unit chief, under which was bank robberies and a number of other rather important criminal investigations, and there were two individuals that did work quite a bit on this particular case, by the name of Richard Rogge and Fletcher Thompson

Can anyone steer me to some info on these two and their actual activities? It seems to me that whatever it was they included in their summary reports was THE EVIDENCE used for WCD1 since the info covering the actual shooting is non-existent.





Mr. McDONALD. What was your position in November 1963?
Mr. JAMES R MALLEY. I had been designated as inspector at the time and was working as an assistant or No. 1 man, you might say, to Assistant Director Alex Rosen, in charge of the General Investigative Division.

Mr. MCDONALD. That is fine, thank you.
Mr. Malley, in the investigation of the assassination how did the various divisions participate in the case?
First of all, which was the primary division to run the case, the assassination case, and who was in charge of that investigation?
Mr. MALLEY. As far as the actual assassination is concerned, it was definitely in the General Investigative Division. When you say who is responsible, are you referring to what section it was being handled and what supervisor was primarily responsible?
Mr. MCDONALD. Which person was primarily responsible at the top to begin with?
Mr. MALLEY. Well, because of what happened when I got back from Dallas I would say that I had to be



Malley was also one of the men along with Gauthier, Shaneyfelt and 2 unidentified FBI agents who sat in with Eisenberg in April to examine the zfilm and address what was ultimately put in words by Norman Redlich.

Norman, I believe, is referring here to the FBI's WCD298 delivered in January, the FBI's WCD1 delivered in early December, and the SS's ce875.

The common denominator for all these reports is 3 shots 3 hits with the final shot well past the location on the Zfilm for frame 313.

I should add that the facts which we now have in our
possession, submitted to us in separate reports from the FBI and
Secret Service, are totally incorrect and, if left uncorrected, will
present a completely misleading picture.


Since Gauthier knows full well what his model and WCD298 say, his standing silent as yet another survey is done which contradicts his detailed scale model and changes the third shot into the one that missed, remains a perfect example of the FBI's position during these months.

CE884 and the other WC reenactment exhibits are created after Tague is brought to the attention of the Commission - coincidentally at about the same time as these new surveys are being created.

Before I begin to unravel this in a full article, I had hoped to learn a bit more about these three men for which not a post or a thread has been created on this forum.
