Tragedy and Hope - Carol Quigley
#1
The quintessential Anglo-American insiders account.
Available as a pdf here:

Quigley was a famous professor and historian also consultant to the U.S. Department of Defense, the U.S. Navy, the Smithsonian Institution or U.S. President Bill Clinton. Clinton named Quigley as an important influence during his acceptance speech to the 1992 Democratic National Convention. He was also known as insider to group known as "The Round Table". This book was written for these groups as an internal study and speaks open about the history of Round Table and Rhodes society!

"There does exist, and has existed for a generation, an international Anglophile network which operates, to some extent, in the way the ... Right believes the Communists act. In fact, this network, which we may identify as the Round Table Groups, has no aversion to cooperating with the Communists, or any other groups, and frequently does so. I know of the operations of this network because I have studied it for twenty years and was permitted for two years, in the early 1960's, to examine its papers and secret records. I have no aversion to it or to most of its aims and have, for much of my life, been close to it and to many of its instruments.
I have objected, both in the past and recently, to a few of its policies (notably to its belief that England was an Atlantic rather than a European Power and must be allied, or even federated, with the United States and must remain isolated from Europe), but in general my chief difference of opinion is that it wishes to remain unknown, and I believe its role in history is significant enough to be known.”
- Quigley, TH, page 786.
"The philosophers have only interpreted the world, in various ways. The point, however, is to change it." Karl Marx

"He would, wouldn't he?" Mandy Rice-Davies. When asked in court whether she knew that Lord Astor had denied having sex with her.

“I think it would be a good idea” Ghandi, when asked about Western Civilisation.

Quigley's book has some very important revelations. His publication of private information he was given access to for background purposes caused him to fall from grace and for the plates of this book to be destroyed by his publisher. Thereafter, Quigley was never again permitted to publish a book by a mainstream publisher despite his immense academic credentials. He was blacklisted for revealing the power structure behind international events.

Many years later (in the 1980's if I recall accurately) in an interview he identified a small handful of pages he'd written that had caused his expulsion from elite circles. These were the revelations about the Rhodes-Milner Group and their long-term goals.
The shadow is a moral problem that challenges the whole ego-personality, for no one can become conscious of the shadow without considerable moral effort. To become conscious of it involves recognizing the dark aspects of the personality as present and real. This act is the essential condition for any kind of self-knowledge.

Along with Prof. Carroll's epic "Tragedy and Hope", "Anglo-American Establishment" further reveals who tend to govern the modern world and what method they employ in achieving the goal. The book also reveals that starting the pre- and post-WWII period, secret societites in Britain and the U.S. act in tandem in directing world events and influencing political decisions in the world arena.

Anglo-American Establishment
... one of the chief sources of cultural paranoia is the everwidening rift between the beliefs of a people and their actual behavior, and the tacit assumption among these same people that this practicethis contradiction between idealism and practiceis a normal state of affairs.

It's good news to see both these books are now available to download. Bravo!

What a shame it stopped just as it was getting interesting. I wanted to hear what Gatto also had to about Quigley's Anglo American Establishment.

I hope the following contains that as well - it's an hour and 18 minutes long, but the first 17 minutes can be skipped:

If you look on the Tragedy & Hope YouTube page (run by 9/11 whistleblower Richard Grove) you will find a whole series of these videos under the title "The Ultimate History Lesson". Gatto goes into great detail on a number of subjects, including Quigley and his work. There are a lot of great videos on that channel.

Here is the link:

“The most difficult subjects can be explained to the most slow-witted man if he has not formed any idea of them already; but the simplest thing cannot be made clear to the most intelligent man if he is firmly persuaded that he knows already, without a shadow of doubt, what is laid before him.”

In the 1970's The John Birch Sociey pushed this book as it gave an "insiders" look at what was coming, "serfdom' for the world. The Koch brothers father was a Society founder. Isn't it iron that the Kocks are in the forefront of the "bring serfdom to America" movement, aka "Freedom Works." "Slavery is Freedom says Orwell in "1984."

In this particular version of the Gatto interviews, he completes his thoughts on The Anglo American Establishment about 38:00.
