Americans are just really stupid
#1
Quote:August 18, 2009 "Information Clearing House" --- It’s a full time occupation trying to unravel the reasons Americans remain in the dark. What seems ( to any intelligent outside observer ) like sheer stupidity and arrogance is in reality an almost inescapable indoctrination process that begins before you are born, and ends some time after your dead. It is a system so complex and all encompassing that few can recognize any reality outside of it at all, and that of course is its intended purpose.

Ok,we Americans are so friggin' stoopid that even our Highly exalted Supreme Court Justices can proudly claim to be Exaltingly stoopid. Here,Just read this news brief from Democracy Now.It's so sadly STOOPID............

Scalia: Constitution Does Not Forbid Execution of the Innocent

In the majority opinion in the Troy Davis case, Justice John Paul Stevens wrote, “The substantial risk of putting an innocent man to death clearly provides an adequate justification for holding an evidentiary hearing.” Supreme Court Justices Antonin Scalia and Clarence Thomas objected to the court’s decision. Scalia criticized his colleagues for thinking that mere innocence is grounds to overturn a conviction. Scalia wrote, “This Court has never held that the Constitution forbids the execution of a convicted defendant who has had a full and fair trial but is later able to convince a habeas court that he is ‘actually’ innocent.” We’ll have more on Troy Davis’s case on Wednesday.

See what I mean?

...that's not stupid, its cruel, meanhearted, disgusting, undemocratic, hateful...yeah, lets excecute the innocent as well as the guilty...if we were smart enough to deny them a fair trial and fool the jury with lying witnesses, false evidence, vindictive prosecutors that know they are innocent - then he/she deserves to die...only the Oligarchy who can afford really expensive law firms and private detectives and are not picked-on by prosecutors as random scapegoats to 'solve' a crime have a chance at a fair shake at trial..so long as they are not black, muslim, female, gay, politcally progressive, etc. What a system.....how much has it changed from when a King or Emperor just decided 'off with his head' just because he doesn't like his looks?...Not much. The Constitution also doesn't specify which reality TV show should be watched at which hour either. '..mere innocence as grounds to overturn a court decison..."?!?!? - what the **** do they teach in Law Schools! Trial by drowning or fire would be equally [un]fair. However, it fits with the 'morality' (sic) of the rest of our sick society, which thinks (sic) that if one is clever enough to fleece someone of their money - no mattter how - they then deserve the money they fleeced. Our polity - all branches - are a JOKE...a very sick and sad [and stupid] joke.

..but to stay on topic, no one has to convince me the Average America is dangerously naive - and in many cases stupid......and most of our 'leaders' who are the above, plus evil, selfish, arrogant, vindictive, elitist, hateful, corrupt, etc.

maybe there should be a certain minimum civics, geography and history exam in order to vote....

....no wonder Americans are so easy to control. This group [seems to be at Venice, CA boardwalk] are not as bright lights as some others - but not a lot different then most you'd find outside of most academic environments. Great education system we have....and educational TV and media!Laugh

Can't happen... school kids will be too busy studying to fail their No Child Left Behind achievement exams, talking to military recruiters, playing war-oriented video games, or checking out their friends' friends' cute and pretty something-or-other on MySpace or FacePage,or texting someone to find out when .... .

The US education system IS great, at satisfying its agenda.

It cranks out docile and desperate ditch diggers.
