According to a JFK Lancer website update (link above), COPA's Jim DeEugenio will speak at this year's Lancer NID conference.
Dare we hope that we're witnessing the beginning of the end of internecine warfare among "competing" JFK organizations?

It was an insane schism in the first place....so few of us to begin with, and meeting at two places and/or times. 'They' use divide and conquer...but we shouldn't - no matter what the reasons [or should I say rationalizations]. Let us hope...

As much as I totally agree with CD and Peter, I think John is totally correct here. I don't know why there is SUCH a division and certainly don't choose to speculate but have long noticed that it appears to have turned into some sort of competition. How utterly sad for the community. But, having been a member of this community for now thirty six years I have witnessed so much divisiveness that I know the PTB are smiling.

I just noted that Lancer has quite a lineup. And if true that they PAY speakers then that adds an interesting dimension to the mix.
Thanks to David Healey who commented that COPA would be the "last standing". People who present at COPA, or are in any other manner affiliated, do it for the sake of the cause. I personally cannot think of a single person who has made money from the murder of JFK. The books that sell are the lone nut crap. I have had several people tell me they have searched for Jim Douglas' book in bookstores and it just isn't there. When Barr McClellan's book was relaeased in '03 I personally called over 100 bookstores to see how many copies they had and it was either one or none. Gerald Posner, on the other hand, was in every store and all over tv. The same with Bugloisi, his tome is prominent.

They didn't pay during the years when I spoke at NIDs. I was even charged registration fees.
But I didn't complain then, and I'm not bellyaching now. I note this for the record only.

I'm sure that you're right in almost every instance.

Of course you can. Authors on both sides (the truth and the Lone Nut lie) have made dough off this case. So too some conference promoters, booksellers, filmmakers, etc.
And let's not forget the assassins and their heirs and business partners.

FULL DISCLOSURE: I was lucky to break even on 4 videos and
an 18x24 LHO poster, which I financed myself. I got a trip to
London for a week, and $100 from Nigel Turner doing TMWKK.
I made no money from any of my conference appearances. To
the contrary, I spent hundreds of dollars preparing slide presentations
for appearances.

I didn't realize these factions existed. That sucks.
That's great that DeEugenio is crossing over.
Are there any researchers that are able to be involved with both factions on a regular basis?
