Isn't it quiet ?
Since Exaro News published the story last night I can only find the story on the BBC.
Somehow you'd have thought that the search of the home of a former Conservative MP in connection with a police operation looking into the murder of 3 children might be a story ?
The home of former Conservative MP Harvey Proctor has been searched by police investigating historical allegations of child abuse.
The BBC understands police arrived at the 68-year-old's house on the estate of Belvoir Castle, in Leicestershire, on Wednesday.
The Metropolitan Police said officers from Operation Midland were searching an address in Grantham.
Mr Proctor has not made any statement.
Perhaps the silence could be due to the fact that the home searched was on the Duke and Duchess of Rutland's estate at Belvoir Castle ?
There has been some speculation about the relationship between the Duke of Rutland and Harvey Proctor since we published The Maxwells, Harvey Proctor, And The Marquis Of Granby' We couldn't possibly comment but I think it is fair to point out that the Duke and Duchess of Rutland no longer have physical relations. Aparently the Duke has someone else to take care of those needs who lives on the estate.
The aristocracy have always been inventive when their marriages break down. They can afford to be. A blind eye here, an understanding there, a delicate readjustment of room space to conduct their separate lives while maintaining the fiction of harmonious family life.
However, nothing so smotheringly conventional was ever going to do for the Duke and Duchess of Rutland who, at the weekend, made public their own solution to the challenges of infidelity: after 20 years of marriage, they are now living in different wings of their colossal gothic castle at Belvoir, each able to entertain a lover without undue embarrassment and to come together for occasional family meals with their five children.
"It is a situation that many might find difficult, or impossible, to fathom," wrote Emma Rutland in a lengthy, confessional article in a Sunday newspaper.
Also worth checking out is the amusingly titled article Duke Drops His Drawbridge for Harvey Proctor' . "FROM cottages to castles" it begins. I wonder what they could be suggesting ?

It is more than interesting that the police continue to believe the witness and consider him credible.

The Westminster abuse victim who accused Harvey Proctor of raping and murdering two children and helping kill a third has been left 'distressed' by the ex-MP's 'over-the-top' denial.
The child abuse survivor named only as 'Nick' is Scotland Yard's number one witness in its investigation into the alleged VIP paedophile gang of politicians, civil servants and diplomats.
In a press conference yesterday Harvey Proctor said Nick, who is a 'respectable businessman' now in his forties, has 'wrecked his life' and the reputation of eight others by naming them as members.
Critics have questioned why Operation Midland detectives probing abuse at Dolphin Square and the Elm Guest House appear to have hung their VIP child abuse investigation on Nick's testimony.

In an extraordinary press conference yesterday former MP Harvey Proctor branded the allegations against him 'ludicrous'.
He said: 'I should be arrested, charged and prosecuted for murder and these awful crimes immediately so I can start the process of ridiculing these preposterous allegations in open court.
''Nick' should be stripped of his anonymity and prosecuted for wasting police time and money.

Anger: Harvey Proctor says his life has been 'ruined' by Nick who is Scotland Yard's key witness

'The paranoid police have pursued a homosexual witch hunt on this issue.'
Scotland Yard has said it will not comment on his claims.
Last night Nick, who is said to have made a success of his life despite his years of abuse, has been upset by Proctor's statement.
Journalist Mark Watts, editor of the Exaro website, spoke to him afterwards and said: 'Nick, as was entirely foreseeable, has been left distressed by Harvey Proctor's over-the-top theatrics. It was a shameful performance.
'Detectives on Operation Midland believed Nick was credible from first meeting with him. They still think him credible'.
Nick has told detectives he was regularly abused as a child by prominent men close to the Houses of Parliament.
He also made the extraordinary claim that in addition to abusing victims, the gang had killed at least three of them.
He recalled seeing one small boy murdered in the presence of a former Tory Cabinet Minister, and another asphyxiated by a Conservative MP at a central London townhouse.
He said last year: 'I watched while that happened. I am not sure how I got out of that'.
The third murder is said to have occurred in broad daylight on a street in South-West London in 1979, when a member of the group deliberately ran over and killed a boy aged between 11 and 12.
He said he was one of between 15 and 20 children who would be picked up in cars and taken to hotels and apartments where they were physically and sexually abused.

He claims to have visited Dolphin Square on at least ten occasions and written account of his ordeal and three days of videotaped evidence.
In that he is said to have passed them Harvey Proctor's name as well as Ted Heath and Leon Brittan among those alleged to have done 'monstrous things'.
Mr Proctor also identified former armed forces head Lord Bramall, ex-MI6 chief Maurice Oldfield and Sir Michael Hanley, the former director general of MI5.

Row: Mr Proctor said he did not attend 'sex parties' at apartments in Dolphin Square (pictured) but Nick appears to have claimed that the former Tory MP did

Nick claims he was repeatedly abused for years in the 1970s and 80s and that he saw a Tory MP strangle a 12-year-old boy.
He was forced to drink alcohol before being beaten and raped while his head was held under the water in a bath.
Nick told of a decade of abuse at the hands of politicians and said members of the Establishment terrorised children and went on to kill three young boys.
He said he was in the room when a Conservative MP killed a 12-year-old boy inside the Dolphin Square apartment complex in the early 1980s.
He told the Sunday People newspaper last year he was driven to an orgy at the complex with the victim, knowing they were about to be abused by 'powerful men'.
He said: 'We looked at each other and saw the fear in each other's eyes.
'I had no idea of the horror of what was to happen. I watched while it happened. I'm not sure how I got out of that.'

Nick told police he was abused by his own father before being 'handed over' to the gang when he was 11.
He claimed he was abused by the group from 1975 to 1984 and that two well-known Tory politicians raped him and beat him.
Nick said he was one of up to 20 boy victims who were openly taken into Dolphin Square and other locations to be abused.
Nick told the BBC his alleged abusers were 'very organised' and arranged for chauffeur-driven cars to collect boys from schools and drive them to hotels and flats.
'Some of them were quite open about who they were,' he said, adding: 'They had no fear at all of being caught.'
He said: 'They were very powerful people and they controlled my life for the next nine years.
'They created fear that penetrated every part of me, day in day out. You did as they asked without question and the punishments were very severe.'
Who are Exaro? Website bankrolled by investment fund manager worth £112m first revealed Nick's VIP abuse claims

Boss: Mark Watts is the editor in chief of Exaro, who remains close to Tom

An investigative news website part-bankrolled by a fund manager worth £112million was the first to reveal the story of abuse victim 'Nick'.
Exaro, which is Latin for 'plough up' or 'dig', have the only journalists with regular access to the anonymous man whose claims have destroyed the reputations of members of the establishment.
Exaro is so close to Nick that its staff have even been allowed to sit in with him in Scotland Yard police interviews.
The website - whose motto is 'holding power to account' - was set up in October 2011 with the help of money from rich investors like millionaire investment fund manager Jerome Booth.
Dr Booth, an academic and businessman who has made money from investing in media companies including film distribution business Icon, first set up by Mel Gibson in the late 1980s.
Exaro first had a paywall for its stories but this was taken down two years later after saying it would make more money from content rather than subscriptions.

Editor in chief Mark Watts said Dr Booth's investment: 'Booth wants his money back and more. He is someone who has invested in the business and is hoping at the end of the day to get a return on it'.
Among Exaro's reporters is the former Guardian political journalist David Hencke and there are a string of other well known Fleet Street writers working for them.
In 2014 its child abuse work saw it nominated for campaign of the year at the British Press Awards, while Mr was nominated for Political Journalist of the Year.

Site: Exaro first had a paywall for its stories but this was taken down two years later after saying it would make more money from content rather that subscriptions

Most of its biggest stories have come from investigating the Westminster VIP paedophile scandal, especially abuse at Dolphin Square and Elm Guest House.
Although they did also manage to reveal a secret film of Rupert Murdoch criticising the 'incompetent cops' who handled the phone-hacking investigation.
They have also helped reveal abuse tax avoidance in Whitehall and bribery in defence contracts.
But Nick has been one of their greatest sources of stories is believed to only speak to Exaro.
Its small staff is led by Mark Watts, who remains in close contact with Nick.
Mr Watts is a Freedom of Information campaigner, journalist and author.
He started in regional papers before moving to the Sunday Express and then to Andrew Neil's Sunday Business. He won damages in 2002 for unfair dismissal after being fired for writing two emails opposing the decision to shut down its investigative unit.
He then started his own newspaper review show on the Iranian-bankrolled Press TV, which still employs George Galloway and allowed Ken Livingstone to have a show.
In 2012 it had its UK broadcasting licence revoked by Ofcom because of interference from Tehran - but Mr Watts said previously he had full editorial control of his show.

The shadow is a moral problem that challenges the whole ego-personality, for no one can become conscious of the shadow without considerable moral effort. To become conscious of it involves recognizing the dark aspects of the personality as present and real. This act is the essential condition for any kind of self-knowledge.
