John Judge tells an anecdote about his mother, it starts at 4:34. I've never heard it before and it's quite compelling word of mouth evidence of motive that reinforces what most of us know.

Very interesting... a military coup d'etat or, as Eisenhower warned and Oliver Stone highlighted in his JFK film, the machinations of the military-industrial complex.
The shadow is a moral problem that challenges the whole ego-personality, for no one can become conscious of the shadow without considerable moral effort. To become conscious of it involves recognizing the dark aspects of the personality as present and real. This act is the essential condition for any kind of self-knowledge.
