How do we know this is legit? I didn't think the Army posted jobs. They give orders to go do the job. If it were a contractor, then the name of the corporation would be posting the job.

It would be as if the executive committee running DPF stated it would like volunteers with certain skill sets to help manage, label for SEO, and cross-link posts and threads. The skill set can be used by anyone associated with the effort. But I suspect you are right; the actual work may be done by contractors who would simply use the new MOS in applying for the role, the funds or in billing. We can, I think -- based on past examples -- assume that the contractors will not comply rigidly with the specs, and take liberties in their applications.

We produce so much military equipment that inventories of military robots, M-16 assault rifles, helicopters, armored vehicles, and grenade launchers eventually start to pile up and it turns a lot of these weapons are going straight to American police forces to be used against US citizens. Benjamin Carlson at The Daily reports on a little known endeavor called the "1033 Program" that gave more than $500 million of military gear to US police in 2011 alone. 1033 was passed by Congress in 1997 to help law-enforcement fight terrorism and drugs, but despite a 40 year low in violent crime, police are snapping up hardware like never before. Even within gun circles, the Freedom Group is something of an enigma. Its rise has been so swift that it has become the subject of wild speculation and grassy-knoll conspiracy theories. Hardly the time now to even discuss in detail 'how we got here' - at the very edge and about to plunge over it! Obama says he will veto it and we will see.....I have little faith in him; this will be his ultimate test. The Occupy Movement, sadly, has not yet gotten a hold of this and I see very little in the MSM [no surprise there!]. In ten short years a fascist police state went from a glimmer in their eyes to reality. Yes, the plans date back much longer than that, but the final touches all point to a turning point ==> 9-11, when 'everything changed'. Time to roll up our sleeves and stop this madness - or it will stop us and destroy everything worth living for and everything living.
